CID Verification Mandatory for Government Jobs in Jammu Kashmir Now

Jammu Kashmir administration has directed that no person can take government job without the verification report of CID.

The Jammu Kashmir Civil Services (Verification of Character and Antecedents) Directions, 1997 have been amended by the Administration, after which now the verification report of CID will be required for the job in government department.

According to an official order to get the verification report from the CID, the person will also need to state whether any member of his family or close relative is associated with any political party or organization, has participated in any political activity or not, whether or not associated with any foreign mission or organization and whether there is a connection with any banned organizations.

The serving employees will have to provide posting and promotion details from the date of appointment in case of need for re-verification from CID. Apart from this, job details of parents, husband or wife, children and step-children, mother-in-law, brother-in-law and sister-in-law will also have to be given.

Under the new rules, the appointing authority will forward the verification forms received from the candidates in a sealed cover to the CID Headquarters.
