Civil work of Sagam Lisser Power Grid Station to be completed by November 15

Another 50 MVA transformer will be installed on December 21 to provide adequate Power supply to area. At least 200 villages in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district are set to gain benefits from the Lissar Power Grid Station, which is on final stage.

The Power Grid Station is being constructed under the Prime Ministers Reconstruction Programme (PMRP).

Within the coming two months, grid station will be commissioned. Villages such as Kokernag, Verinag, breng, Lissar and many more will now be provided uninterrupted electricity. The power grid station has a capacity of 50 MVA with a rating of 132/33KV.

A.E. Shafeeq Ahmad told The Kashmiriyat that the foundation work of grid station is in progress. He also said that augumentation of Mir Bazar Power Grid was in progress, too and after completion, a 50MVA transformer will be installed which was approved for Lisser Grid Station to provide power supply without curtailment.

“We are on our toes and have been working tirelessly. It would be completed within months, besides weather conditions will be favourable, too,” Ahmad said.
