Young teachers from south Kashmir have come up with an initiative to start a coaching centre in order to guide educated youth to qualify competitive exams.

The teachers have started a novel coaching Institute, Reading Room Classes (RCC) to guide all those students who are reluctant to visit Srinagar and are facing financial issues.

Bilal Ahmad, one of the teachers said that initially the idea was to provide free mentorship only. But later it was realised that it is not enough and there is a need to guide, motivate and teach youngsters so that they won’t face any difficulties in preparing for the exams.

“We started the institute so that youth will get all the material at their doorstep and students belonging to financially poor families can easily afford it,” he told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

Fresh batch has been admitted in Reading Room Classes at Dalipora Pulwama, Bilal said, adding, this is first of its kind of coaching Institute providing quality coaching and mentoring for competitive exams in the district.

“We have been taking care of time and other things in such a way that students are easily coming from Shopian, Budgam and other districts,” he said, adding that in the recent past many candidates who are groomed here have qualified various competitive exams.

There are very experienced tutors for aspirants preparing for UPSC and SSB, he said, adding that there are special courses for exams besides foundation courses for 9th to 12th in all streams.

He said that the coaching is free for orphans and specifically-abled students besides that coaching for students is offered at a minimal monthly fee and there is one-to-one interaction with the teachers and fortnightly exams for revision—(KNO)
