Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday reported one death and 104 fresh positive cases of COVID-19, thus taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,327.
With one more death, the death toll in J&K has reached 4,514 and 104 fresh positive cases reported on Tuesday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 340,036.
Of the exact number of 334,195 cases, 214,143 are from Kashmir division and 125,893 from Jammu division.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 104 new cases, 78 belong to Kashmir division while as 26 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 214,143 including 210,829 recoveries and 2,319 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 125,893 including 123,366 recoveries and 2,195 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,327 including 995 from Kashmir division and 332 from Jammu division.
With 139 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 334,195 which is 98.28 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 53 from Srinagar, 20 from Baramulla, 04 from Budgam, 05 from Pulwama, 10 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 00 from Bandipora, 15 from Ganderbal, 01 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 26 from Jammu division include 18 from Jammu, 00 from Udhampur, 03 from Rajouri, 03 from Doda, 01 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 01 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 50.
As per officials figures, 78,363 positive cases including 879 deaths and 76,992 recoveries are from Srinagar, 25,828 including 290 deaths and 25,379 recoveries are from Baramulla, 24,424 including 24,151 recoveries and 214 deaths are from Budgam, 15,683 including 15,456 recoveries and 195 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,916 including 167 deaths and 14,674 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,717 including 16,491 recoveries and 208 deaths are from Anantnag, 10,131 cases including 9,969 and 109 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,926 including 10,752 recoveries and 81 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,539 including 11,410 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,616 including 5,555 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 54,005 including 52,646 recoveries and 1,155 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,464 including 11,315 recoveries and 138 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,367 including 11,111 recoveries and 239 deaths are from Rajouri, 8,013 including 7,845 recoveries and 136 deaths are from Doda, 9,379 including 9,218 recoveries and 153 deaths are from Kathua, 7,174 including 7,051 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,847 including 4,798 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,579 including 6,460 recoveries and 100 deaths are from Poonch, 6,068 including 5,990 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,997 including 6,932 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 5,029,751 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 7,918 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,327 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 4,584,407 persons have completed the surveillance period and 431,585 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 18,750,922 samples are available. Out of 18,750,922 the number of samples tested negative stands at 18,410,886 while as 340,036 have tested positive, among them 1,327 persons are active, 334,195 persons have recovered and 4,514 persons have died—(KNO)
