Covid19- At least Eight Schools Shut in Kashmir After Teachers/ Students Test Positive

At Least eight schools were order closure by the authorities in the Kashmir valley after the students or teachers tested positive for the covid-19 infection on Wednesday.

The Kashmiriyat reported earlier that 36 students and a parent of one of the students tested positive for Corona Virus in the Noori Public School in Khull area of Damhal Hamjipora of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district after which the school was ordered to be shut for one week.

In Kathoo area, a Government High school was shut after at least 14 students from the school tested positive for the virus in this school located in the Sirigufwara area of Anantnag district. The authorities have closed down the school for 5 days.

In Mattan, the head of a school tested positive after which the school was shut for three days.

Meanwhile, in Srinagar’s Kothi Bagh High school two including a member of the teaching staff and the non-teaching staff have been tested positive for covid 19 infections on Wednesday,

Officials in Budgam said that a teacher posted at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Budgam was tested positive for Covid-19 after which the school was shut for five days. In the Durbal area of Budgam and in the Higher Secondary of Narbal three have been tested covid positive.

In Bandipora’s N.M Boys Higher Secondary School, two including a teacher have been tested positive for Covid-19. The mass testing campaign which was held in the institution on Tuesday.
