The residents of Kulgad Dangerpora in the Achabal area of Anantnag district have been facing immense hardships as the link road connecting the two areas with the main road of Achabal is in dilapidated condition.
A group of residents speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that the road from the main highway to Dangerpora Kulgad has turned into shambles, due to which residents suffer a lot. The residents also said that they have approached almost every office and concerned official for the last three years, but every time their pleas have fallen on deaf ears.
“We have also written to concerned BDO, DDC member, ACD and R&B Department. But nobody to date has initiated any action on the ground,” the residents said.
In rains the road pits get converted into springs, it becomes slippery and people often fall on the ground due to its bad condition.
The residents demanded that the dilapidated link road in the area should be repaired at the earliest.
The Kashmiriyat spoke to the AEE R&B department subdivision Achabal and who said that they have already taken the estimate of said link road and have forwarded the same requisition for approval.
“As soon as it is approved by the higher ups, we will waste no time in starting the said work,” he told.
