Skill Development Department, Pulwama organised a Job fair cum Awareness at Govt. Degree College, Tral in association with ITI Tral.
District Commissioner, Raghav Langer, senior officers of Skill Development Mission/ faculty members of ITI Tral, functionaries of PMKK(Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra), District officer EDI, Pulwama and representatives of various local and national companies were also present on the occasion.
Almost 22 companies participated in the placement fair and around 150 candidates appeared in the placement drive.
While appreciating the companies for providing jobs to the candidates in different parts of the country, Dr. Langer stressed on creation of jobs at local level for those skilled candidates who are reluctant to move outside for jobs.
“The Government is trying its level best to provide best skilling and employment opportunities to the youth and presence of various companies in the job fair indicates that we are putting efforts in the right direction,” said Dr. Raghav Langer.
This Month, Skill Development Mission resumed training activities in J&K with strict adherence to Covid-19 prevention SOPs and protocols after winter break.
