A group of elected representatives of PRI’s and Urban Local Bodies were flagged off to Kashmir today by Dr. Sargar D Doifode, District Development Commissioner Doda.
DDC informed that during the tour, a coffee table book which is in the pictorial form will be launched by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu Kashmir. It will highlight the achievements of the district since the last year and a half.
The DDC further mentioned that it will be an opportunity for representatives of local self-government to interact with other representatives from different districts. The elected representatives of self-government have actively participated in the development process, and by introducing various changes have strengthened grassroots level of democracy.
Others present at the occasion were ACD Doda Prem Singh Chib, Dy Sp Headquarters Manoj Kumar, SHO Doda Munir Ahmed Khan, and other officials of district administration.
