DDC members Inaugurate three water schemes in Achabal area

The Public Health Engineering Department of Jammu Kashmir inaugurated three new water schemes for the south Kashmir district, bringing huge respite to the residents.

Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, Zameer Ahmed Raina, Executive Engineer PHE said that three new schemes were laid in the Anantnag district which included schemes for Kadpora village (at cost of 30 Lakh rupees), Hardtoouru village, and for the Gopalpora Kalan village.

“The villages had been suffering immensely due to the lack of potable water. The water schemes are expected to bring huge respite to the local residents,” he said.

The water scheme was inaugurated by DDC members Sameena Hussain, NC youth leader Hashim Hussain and, BDC Chairperson Achabal Firdousa Jan & Vice Chairman BDC Achabal Mohammed Maqbool Ganie.

Stressing on the need of enhancing such schemes, the DDC members appreciated the PHE department and said that the water schemes were a long pending demand of several villages.
