The Delhi Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two gunmen who were allegedly planning to kill an activist who often speaks on issues related to Kashmir. The Delhi Police has not revealed the identity of the activist.
Addressing the press, the Delhi Police said that the duo has been arrested from RK Puram in New Delhi and are being interrogated by Delhi Police’s Special cell.
The duo identified as Lakhan Singh and Sukhvinder, residents of Faridkot area in Punjab have, as per Delhi Police, been held with two Desi (Country-made) pistols.

The duo has told the POlice that they were ordered the assassination by a gangster named Prince, who is lodged in a Punjab jail.
“They were communicating using Signal app to avoid police detection. They collected two country-made pistols from Raj Nagar Extension and were putting up at Vijay Vihar,” the DCP said.
