Aghast over the non construction of proper drainage system, the resident of Deva Colony in Shripora area of Islamabad (anantnag) township of South Kashmir demanded an immediate construction of a drainage system in the area.
Speaking to The Kashmiriyat several residents held that the drain water flows straight on the roads that leads into the Deva colony area of Sherpora in this South Kashmir township creating several problem for the residents.
Mehraj ud din Geeray, a local resident speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that students have to travel through the dirty water early morning everyday and whosoever wants to enter or exit the locality has to cross the drainage water which produces a foul smell especially during the hot season.

Locals speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that if there demands are not met soon, they will be forced to come out on the streets.
The Kashmiriyat appraised the issue with the Municipal Council Chairman, Hilal Ahmed Shah, who said that the issue would be addressed immediately.
“I will myself make sure that the issue is addressed within three or four days,” he said upon being contacted by The Kashmiriyat.
