An encounter has started between militants and Government forces in the Wandakpora area of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama area.
Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Monday a joint group of RR, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about militant presence in Andakpora area of Awantipora, launched a cordon and search operation.
As per locals, intermittent exchange of gunfire is going on at the site of the encounter.
