An encounter broke out between militants and government forces in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Friday, a joint team of RR of Indian Army, Police and CRPF following a specific information about the presence of militants in the Halan Manzgam area.
The official said that, as the joint team of forces progressed towards the suspected identified spot, the hiding militants fired upon them which was retaliated triggering an encounter.
As per sources the encounter is going on in an open forest area and one to two militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
