An encounter has started between militants and Government forces at Rangreth area of Srinagar during which two Militants have been killed.
A Police official said that on Monday morning CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area.
The cordon continued for hours together, during which the hiding militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter.

During the exchange of gunfire, two unidentified Militants were killed.
Pertinently on Sunday night, a Police cop went missing from a BJP leader’s house in Kupwara. He had “fled” with two rifles along with his associate.
