An encounter has raged in the Hatipora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that 34 RR of the Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Hatipora Orchards in Kulgam.
During the cordon, the hiding militants opened fire upon forces triggering an encounter.
Two to three Militants are believed to be trapped at the site of the encounter.
