An encounter has started between Militants and Government Forces in Babhara area of South Kashmir Pulwama district, this is the second encounter of the day.
A Police official said that on Friday afternoon, 55RR of Indian Army, CRPF, and Jammu Kashmir Police, after receiving inputs about Militant presence laid a cordon and search operation in the area.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the cordon continued for nearly an hour, during which the hiding militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter.
All the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed by the Forces.
As per initial reports available to The Kashmiriyat after a brief lull fresh exchange of firing has started between the government forces and militants.
