An encounter has started between militants and Government forces at Amudhipora in South Kashmir’s Shopian District.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Saturday morning 44 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area.

All the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed by the Forces.
As per initial reports available to The Kashmiriyat two to three militants were trapped in the area.
Sources said that a massive exchange of fire is being heard at the site of the encounter.
Mobile internet services are likely to be barred in this South Kashmir District.
