The Jammu Kashmir Police on Tuesday claimed to have busted a fake recruitment scam in Kupwara and arrested five persons in this regard.
Police said that acting on complaints, Kupwara Police busted a fake recruitment scam in the Military Engineering Service (MES) and arrested five accused persons.
MES is one of the pillars of Corps of Engineers of Indian Army which provides rear line engineering support to the armed forces. It is one of largest construction and maintenance agencies in India.
The accused were identified as Nazir Ahmed Khan (main accused) and his associates as Zahoor Ahmed Mir, resident of Rawathpora, Shakeel Ahmed Makroo, resident of Awantipora, Feroz Ahmed Khashu, resident of Shaltang Srinagar and Shafkat Ahmed Shah, resident of Pampore Pulwama.
Police said that an FIR has been lodged against the accused under the relevant sections of law.
