A man died after the vehicle he was driving rolled down the road and fell into Chenab River on Srinagar-Jammu highway.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Tuesday a dumper vehicle beating the registration number JK18D 1453 fell into Chenab river at Sherbibi area of Banihal, resulting in the death of the driver and injuries to two others.
The deceased was identified as Nawaz Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammed Amin Bhat, a resident of Laisoo, Kulgam.
Two others injured in the accident were identified as Parvaiz Ahmad Wagay, son of Bashir Ahmad wagay and Zubair Ahmad sofi son of Mushtaq Ahmed sofi, both resident of Damhal Hanjipora in Kulgam.
The deceased is survived by old aged parents, his wife and two young children, one son and a daughter.
Meanwhile, Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the law in this regard.
