Medical Superintendent Lal Ded Hospital has constituted a committee to probe the allegations against the hospital’s private security in charge who has been accused by a female security guard of ‘harassment’.

The complainant female security guard (name withheld) has alleged that ‘Valley Security’ in charge (name withheld) at LD Hospital Srinagar has started harassing her on one or the other pretext after she objected to his unwelcome sexual advance.

The complainant has also named a female RMO who according to her is hand in glove with the accused security in charge.buy priligy Canada buy priligy generic “It’s not only me but there are other female security guards as well who have been or are being harassed by this employee. When one objects, she faces the heat from the RMO who prepares a roster for the employees. I am being deployed at the hospital gate for the past two weeks. This is a sort of punishment,” the complainant who hails from Central Kashmir’s Budgam district and is the mother of two babies told news agency Kashmir News Trust.

“First, I was denied a meeting with Medical Superintendent but somehow I managed to submit a complaint against the accused before him. The irony is that it’s been over a week and no cognizance of the complaint has been taken,” the complainant said adding that the accused wants her to quit the job now.

The complainant said that she will approach the police for justice if LD hospital authority shields the accused. “Police say no crime against the women will be tolerated but I have been harassed at a workplace. Hope, the police will act against the accused, if I approach them,” the complainant said.

The accused (name withheld) termed the allegations baseless saying these don’t carry any weight.

When KNT asked the Medical Superintendent LD, Dr Muzafar Sherwani why he didn’t act and place the accused under suspension, he said that a committee has been constituted to probe the allegations. “We will act after the findings of the Committee,” he said. (KNT)
