A massive fire broke out in a footwear shop – New Choice Footwear at Laroo General Bus stand area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam on Wednesday, at around 10 pm.
An official from the fire and emergency department said that fire broke out in a footwear shop in Laroo area of Kulgam.
Soon after the incident, the fire tenders were rushed to the area to douse the flames, he said.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Property worth lakhs has been destroyed in the incident.
Reports say that the footwear shop belongs to Muntazir Amin Bhat, a resident of Laroo, Kulgam.
