Aspirants of Fire and Emergency department, who had applied for the various departmental posts held a protest on Monday demanding filling up of the vacancies.
These aspirants for various posts across Kashmir assembled at the press enclave, holding placards to press for their demands.
Imtiyaz Ali, an aspirant of fire & emergency services said that their case was going on in the High Court and in the CAT of which the judgment has come from the Odisha High Court and Central Administration Tribune (CAT), in which the court ordered that the vacancies from 2013 to 2022 should be filled in a given fixed time of two to three months.
Since 2013, we have had to take written and physical tests, but when it came to results, there was deception. The papers were leaked.
“We want this issue to be looked into and the remaining vacancies should be filled as soon as possible. We want these posts to be filled so that we don’t suffer. We are crossing the upper age limit and we have been following these posts for nearly eight years. This is injustice with us,” the protesting aspirants said.
