In a first-of-its-type incident, six persons were injured in a fox attack in the Tarzoo area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Locals from Tarzoo told The Kashmiriyat that the fox has created panic in the entire area and on Tuesday morning, the fox attacked locals working in their orchard, leaving five persons injured.
As per the locals, the fox appeared out of nowhere and attacked people after which the injured had to be rushed to a nearby hospital. Their condition is said to be stable.
Seeking help from the Wildlife Department, the locals said, “The ferocious fox’s unpredictable behavior has discouraged locals from venturing into their orchards, fearing potential harm.”
The Wildlife Department has urged people to exercition and stay alert while working in their orchards and other areas as well.
