Four members of an extortionist gang from Srinagar that used to honey trap people have been arrested in the central Kashmir district.
As per Police, Firdous Ahmed Mir of Rainawari (pretending to be SP) Mohammed Tariq Mir of Lal Bazar( Fake reporter) Ashiya of Bemina (pseudo honey trap girl) and Masrat Mir of Habba kadal (Fake crime branch officer)
They used to lure gullible people and extort money, official sources told The Kashmiriyat.
“The Girl used to set up meeting with the gullible person. The other members of gang would impersonate as professionals like reporters/police & then blackmail the victim. One house of female accused in Mehjoor Nagar was used,” Police said.
An FIR no 68/2023 has been registered under the sections 392,472,419 IPC at Sadar PS.
