“The installed transformer has been damaged due to overload, many a times,” the protesters said adding that a 250 KV transformer should be installed in their village.
“We repair the transformer almost twice or thrice, every month. We are tired of it, now,” a protester said to The Kashmiriyat.
The absence of electricity has made them face a lot many troubles, and especially the students, who are not able to study, the protesters alleged.
“We brought the issue into the notice of concerned authorities, many a times, but their repeated assurances only proved to be hoax, on ground,” another protester said.
The residents urged for immediate redressal of the issue. They also appealed DC Ganderbal to look into the matter. Otherwise, they will start protesting on roads, they said.
