Former Jammu Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said the government’s move to “aggressively promote” The Kashmir Files and “weaponising the pain of Kashmiri Pandits” makes its “ill intentions obvious”.
“The manner in which GOI is aggressively promoting Kashmir Files and is weaponising pain of Kashmiri Pandits makes their ill intention obvious,” PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti said in a tweet on Wednesday.
Mehbooba Mufti also accused the government of “creating a conducive atmosphere between the two communities”.
“Instead of healing old wounds and creating a conducive atmosphere between the two communities, they are deliberately tearing them apart,” Mehbooba Mufti said.
The movie has received a massive push from the Centre and states and also got Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nod when the makers met him on Saturday.
