A Man from Srinagar has alleged that a man accused of molestation working in the ARTO office in Budgam is being shielded by the ex-ARTO Budgam and RTO Srinagar for reasons unknown.
Shabir Ahmed has shared a copy of FIR number 52/2019 registered in Magam Police Station in Budgam district under the sections 341, 354 and 506 of Ranbir Penal Code.
The FIR against the accused was filed on 30 April 2019 by a lady doctor (name with held) who accused Imtiyaz Ahmed Malik of molestation.
Shabir Ahmed has said, “the man who created endless troubles for my family, the man who should have been facing the music and the one who should have been suspended is still being sheltered by his job.”
He further alleged that it has been over a year and “the molester” is freely and shamelessly roaming the streets of Kashmir; with the Ex-ARTO Budgam & RTO Sgr supporting him for reasons known to them.
He also alleged that the Secretary Transport of JK issued an directing for his suspension, adding “Nothing has been put in effect which is the cause of deep trauma for our family. These people are one of the reasons why Kashmir will never rise out of this chaos and corruption.”
Meanwhile the present ARTO posted in Budgam, Mr. Jamsheed has said that his office is ready to cooperate with the family of the woman and said that he will assist the family in any possible way.
“I have ensured them full cooperation and i will do my best to help the family in whatever manner i may,” Mr. Jamsheed told The Kashmiriyat over phone.
