Hindutva organizations force school girls in Indore to pledge against ‘Love Jihad’

Hindutva organizations orchestrated the Shree Akhand Vedant Sant Sammelan in the bustling city of Indore, situated in the heart of Madhya Pradesh.

This event unfolded as a strategic response to what these groups perceived as a surge in cases related to ‘Love Jihad.’

The gathering witnessed a poignant moment captured in a viral video, where schoolgirls fervently pledged not to traverse beyond the boundaries of their religious affiliations in matters of matrimony.

The atmosphere was charged with determination as these young minds, echoing the sentiments of a woman’s heartfelt words, proclaimed their steadfast commitment to preserving their beliefs and cultural heritage.

The essence of their vow resonated with an unwavering resolve to defend their religion against any encroachment, emphasizing a resolute stand against attempts at religious conversion.

In a proactive move, Hindutva outfits such as Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Durga Vahini have embarked on organizing camps, particularly targeting young girls, especially students.

The focus of these initiatives is to equip them with self-defense training, rooted in the belief that school and college-going girls are vulnerable to what they term as ‘love traps,’ leading to conversions.

Concern over the rising instances of “Love Jihad” materialized in the form of a Jan Andolan Rally held in Khachrod.

The rally served as a platform for disgruntled Hindus to voice their dissatisfaction with what they perceived as a sluggish response from the government. Bherulal Tank, regional head of the Hindu Samaj, and Ram Snehi Sant Totaram led the impassioned rally, urging authorities to address the issue promptly.

In a symbolic gesture of urgency, community members handed a letter to SDO Pushpa Prajapati and sub-divisional revenue officer Neha Sahu, emphasizing the imperative need for swift and decisive action against the alleged problem of “Love Jihad” in the region.

The demonstration, spearheaded by the leaders of the Hindu Samaj, commenced its journey at Ujjain Darwaja, weaving through the arterial paths of Khachrod, including Vikrammarg, Nimdawas, Lakshmibai Marg, Ganeshdevli, and Ananthanarayan Square.

As the rally traversed these key thoroughfares, it carried with it the collective voice of a community grappling with concerns surrounding “Love Jihad,” seeking attention and resolution.
