On Tuesday night, Iran launched hundreds of missiles toward Israeli territory as part of Operation True Promise II, a retaliatory strike that followed recent escalations.
Sirens blared across the region, with explosions heard in Tel Aviv and occupied Jerusalem, forcing residents to seek shelter.
As per the western media, hundreds of missiles broke into the Israeli territory. CNN reported that Iran was attacking the Mossad headquarters.
The exact details of the Iranian operation remain unclear, Al Jazeera reported.
Iraq’s Al-Nujaba TV channel reported that the Mossad headquarters was completely destroyed in Iran’s missile attack.
Palestinian media reported that twenty warplanes were destroyed during the Iranian airstrikes while as at least three airbases were hit. According to Palestinian media significant damage was caused to the media infrastructure.
Lebanese media reported that a military Oil station was damaged while as Israel’s Nevatim airbase was destroyed in Iran’s ballistic missiles attack.
Settlers in Tel Aviv and other cities have been told to stay near shelters or other protected areas and the atmosphere on the streets was noticeably tense, Syrian media reported.

Independent journalists from the area reported that 180 missiles were than 20 5th generation F-35 fighter jets were destroyed in Israel.
‘We targeted the three military bases in Navatim, which house F-35 aircraft, Netzarim, which house F-15 aircraft used to assassinate Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and Tel Nof base near Tel Aviv,” the IRGC has stated.
Palestinian media also reported that 20 F35 aircraft have been damaged and massive damage has been caused to the military infrastructure while no civilians were attacked by Iran.
Israeli media reported that Benjamin Netanyahu had been kept at a secret location and the residents of Tel Aviv had been asked to go into underground bunkers. They also reported that the IDF had issued orders to not take any photographs of the damage and post it to social media.
According to the Israeli media, the Israel Airports Authority halted all flights from Israeli airports following the attack. Reports from Israeli media, including Haaretz, confirmed direct hits in areas such as Negev and Sharon.
According to Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), their forces launched dozens of ballistic missiles in response to the assassinations of key figures, including Hamas chief Ismail Haniyah, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, and IRGC commander Abbas Nilforoushan.
The IRGC stated that 90 per cent of the missiles successfully hit their targets, despite Israel’s advanced defense systems.
In a statement, the IRGC emphasized the operation was a legitimate act of self-defense, citing ongoing Israeli actions in Gaza and Lebanon, supported by the U.S. They warned that further retaliation by Israel would lead to even harsher responses.
Celebrations erupted in southern Beirut following the missile strikes, particularly in the Hezbollah stronghold, where Nasrallah was recently killed.
Iran’s mission to the United Nations reiterated the legality of the strike, warning that more forceful action would follow if Israel continued its operations.
While Israel has said it will conduct strikes throughout the middle East, the US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin called Iran’s attack on Tuesday an ‘outrageous act of aggression’ in a post on X/Twitter on Wednesday morning.
