The Hurriyat leadership has called for a shutdown on Monday on World Human Rights day on December 10.
The Hurriyat said that the shutdown will be observed against atrocities, including gruesome killings, arbitrary arrests, destruction of homes and harassment of students and attack on journalists by the government forces.
In a statement issued here this afternoon, JRL said that the state “repression” against people was increasing with each passing day as it gets manifest in different forms of “atrocities being committed”.
