Hyderpora “Encounter”- Life comes to still in parts of Kashmir after ‘Bandh’ call by Hurriyat

Life has to still in most areas of Srinagar city of the Kashmir valley on Friday after a day long strike call given by the Mirvaiz led Hurriyat Conference APHC.

Police and CRPF personnel have been deployed in large numbers across the city to thwart any untoward incident.

In volatile and sensitive parts of the Srinagar city, armoured vehicles were seen parked on roadside to meet any eventuality.

The strike call was given against recent civillian killings in Hyderpora, where as per the family claim, three civillian were killed.

In a statement APHC while terming the Srinagar gunfight as staged said that the tragedy that has struck the families of innocent civilians killed is so tormenting that its pain has stunned the people of Kashmir.

In Srinagar’s Downtown area, people observed a “Bandh” to express solidarity with the victims and their families.

In others parts of Kashmir, including south Kashmir’s Shopian, Anantnag and Kulgam districts, people observed complete shut down to mourn the civillian killings of Hyderpora.

Reports coming from Ganderbal and Sopore, too, suggest that people expressed their solidarity with the families of slain.

On Thrusday Morning, the L.G. Manoj Sinha ordered probe into the matter. “A magisterial inquiry by officer of ADM rank has been ordered in Hyderpora encounter.

Govt will take suitable action as soon as report is submitted in a time-bound manner.JK admin reiterates commitment of protecting lives of innocent civilians&it will ensure there is no injustice,” the L.G. office said.

Shoppers have downed their shutter and business establishments are shut in Ganderbal. There is thin vehicular movement on the streets.
