IAS Official, 15 Others Including Officials Quarantined in Kashmir- Global Death Toll Swells to 3,69,000

After an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer tested positive in Jammu last evening, at least 15 persons including officials from various departments have been quarantined in Kashmir.

Officials told The Kashmiriyat that 15 persons which includes officials from various departments who have come in contact with the IAS official during his visit to Srinagar have been quarantined in Srinagar.

“As many as six IAS officers including officers of Health and Medical Education Department participated in the meeting attended by the officer, who later turned out positive”sources said .

Meanwhile the coronavirus Positive cases in Kashmir have rose to a total of 2341, with 1405 active cases, 908 persons have recovered and the death toll is 28.

In India, the number of cases has swelled to, 1,82,143 while 5164 people have died, globally the number of positive cases stands at 60 Lakh, 3,69,000 people have died due to the coronavirus.
