Kashmir’s Inspector General of Police, Vijay Kumar (IPS), greeted the people of Kashmir on the eve of Eid al-Adha.
In a statement, greeting the people he said “this auspicious occasion would be a harbinger of peace & prosperity for all of us”. The statement also states “Let’s observe this festival with utmost caution & abide by the protocols of COVID-19 and offer Eid prayers at our homes”.
Eid al-Adha is to be celebrated in Kashmir on 1st August’20. However due to the Covid pandemic, no congregational Eid prayers will be allowed keeping in mind the health and safety of the citizens.
