The Indian Red Cross Society Jammu Kashmir (IRSJK) organized an event on awareness about First Aid in north Kashmir’s Batpora Magam. The event took place at Boys Higher Secondary School Batpora Magam.
The event happened under the supervision of Mr. G.A. Qureshi, former Director General of Economics and Statistics and currently associated with the Red Cross Society.
In this event, 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade students received hands-on instruction on how to treat injured people with first aid.
The Students expressed willingness to engage with humanitarian organizations like the Red Cross. The teachers and principal of the high secondary school expressed gratitude to the Red Cross and in particular to Mr. G.A. Qureshi for his assistance in the community of Magam, of which he himself is a native.
Qureshi while addressing students expressed his willingness to help the locals by all means possible.
In addition, he urged local students to take part in Red Cross or other humanitarian organizations.
