The army today claimed to have foiled an infiltration bid on the intervening night of November 7 and November 8 in which one militant was killed in Machil sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Defence spokesman in Srinagar Rajesh Kalia said militants while trying to infiltrate were intercepted by troops.
“Contact was established and one militant has been eliminated. One AK-47 riffle recovered and two bags were recovered,” he told adding that joint operation is in progress. KNO
