Iranian air defense systems successfully intercepted and neutralized multiple Israeli attacks across several locations near Tehran early Saturday morning.
Despite the intensity of the confrontation, Iranian authorities have confirmed that there were no casualties or damage reported from the strikes, a significant achievement in the ongoing tension between the two nations.
The loud explosions heard in Tehran’s outskirts were attributed to Iranian air defense operations.
Security sources stated that these defense measures were initiated to counter Israeli drone and missile strikes on military facilities.
“The air defense forces were successful in intercepting the adversarial targets, and no critical facilities were impacted,” said a source from Iran’s Revolutionary Guards. Footage shared online shows missile interceptions lighting up the skies around Tehran. Both Mehrabad and Imam Khomeini airports continued operations without disruption.
Israel’s military, in a statement, claimed responsibility for the strikes, citing self-defense against Iranian missile threats. However, Iranian officials assured the public that their defense systems had thwarted the attacks with zero damage, reaffirming the country’s readiness to respond to any aggression.
Despite the escalating situation, Iran’s air defense measures ensured the protection of its key military infrastructure, marking another successful defense against Israeli airstrikes.
