Israeli forces stealing hundreds of bodies from Gaza Strip cemeteries

Israeli forces have abducted over 350 bodies from the graveyards in Gaza strip in Palestine.

Reports from the Israeli Broadcasting Authority have stated that they are looking for hostile bodies, among the dead bodies that they have brought out of their graves.

In a stark revelation, the Government Media Office in Gaza unveiled a new atrocity, detailing the destruction of a cemetery in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, where approximately 1,100 graves were desecrated.

Official statements assert the involvement of Israeli military vehicles in the excavation of graves and the callous removal of martyrs’ bodies, exhibiting a flagrant disregard for the sanctity of the deceased and the cemetery.

Moreover, suspicions of organ theft have been raised following reports that Israeli forces allegedly stole around 150 bodies of recently buried martyrs.

In December, the Government Media Office disclosed that Israeli forces handed over mutilated bodies of 80 martyrs, purportedly after stealing their organs.

These reports of possible organ theft came to surface following reports by medical professionals in Gaza who examined bodies after they were released and noticed significant changes.

The refusal to disclose the identities of these martyrs or the locations from which they were taken underscores the gravity of the situation and raises questions about accountability and transparency.

These egregious acts are not isolated incidents but rather part of a pattern of aggression directed at cemeteries in the Gaza Strip.

According to the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor, Israeli forces have targeted various cemeteries, including Al-Falujah, Ali bin Marwan, Sheikh Radwan, Al-Shuhada, and Sheikh Shaaban, as well as the St. Porphyrius Church cemetery in Gaza City.

The persistent targeting of cemeteries and the desecration of graves demand urgent attention and condemnation, as they represent a violation of fundamental human rights and international law.

Since the onset of the aggression carried out by Israel on October 7, at least 27,840 Palestinians, with a majority of women and children, have been killed, and thousands are left severely injured. In addition to this, 60 percent of the population of Gaza Strip has been displaced.
