IT raids carried out at multiple units of Kashmir’s Khyber business group

The Income Tax (I-T) Department carried out raids at multiple units of the Khyber business group including its owner Abdul Rauf Tramboo in Kashmir on Wednesday.

Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Wednesday sleuths of IT along with Jammu Kashmir Police reached the house of Abdul Rouf Tramboo in Srinagar’s Gogji Bagh to raid the house of MD Khyber group- Kashmir’s largest locally owned business group.

The sleuths blocked all the entry and exit points have been sealed and conducted massive searches inside the house,

They said that a team of IT along with Jammu Kashmir Police also raided the house of another deputy director in Hazuri Bagh area of Srinagar district.

Another team raided The Khyber Himalayan Resort & Spa at Gulmarg, they told The Kashmiriyat.

The searches were going on when this report was filed.

Khyber group of companies that employs hundreds of people across Jammu Kashmir is a 40 year old company established in 1982 and is arguably the largest locally owned business group that operates in food production, healthcare, tourism, cement among various other sectors.
