Jammu Kashmir Education Department Announces Free Coaching to 200 Students for ‘Competitive Exams’

The School Education Department of Jammu Kashmir has announced that it will provide free coaching for competitive exams like NEET, JEE Main to the students of class 11th and 12th studying in government schools.

From the next academic session, the department will give coaching to 200 students in the first phase in the region, 100 from Jammu and 100 from the Kashmir division.

The School education department has said that the coaching centers will be set up for these students in Jammu and Srinagar city and the coaching will be provided at zero cost.

The facility will be limited to children who come from economically weaker families.

An official of the School Education Department said that online applications will be sought from the students, after which there will be an online evaluation test in which 200 students will be identified for the free coaching programme. “The department is going to start this exercise from the next session,” he said.

The main objective of the programme is to prepare deserving students for competitive examinations like NEET, JEE Main so that more and more students from the region can achieve success in these examinations. The department will start this exercise with 200 students in the first phase, the number of students will be increased if the results are good, the official said.
