JCO of Indian army from Kathua trampled to death by elephant

A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) lost his life after he was trampled to death by an elephant in West Bengal.

Subedar Ram Singh of the Indian Army was cremated at his hometown in Jammu Kashmir’s Kathua with full military honors.

Ram Singh was on his duty when a group of elephants attacked his post in Siliguri on August 6, causing his death.

Basically hailing from Doda, Singh’s family had migrated to Darhala belt of Kathua district.
