JK Admin terminates five more Government employees for alleged Militancy links

Five government employees have been terminated from service for alleged militancy links, running narco-terror syndicates and aiding proscribed outfits to carry out attacks.

The government employees have been terminated under provision 311(2)(C) of the Constitution.

The Jammu and Kashmir government is making efforts to detect and weed out terror elements within the system. Several such terror elements were provided jobs through the backdoor during previous regimes.

The details of the five government employees terminated for terror links are:

Tanveer Saleem Dar (Constable): He was appointed in 1991. In July 2002, Tanveer managed his posting as ‘armourer’ in Battalion headquarters. Investigation in Tanveer’s case has revealed that he managed this posting to repair firearms of militants discreetly and also to arrange ammunition for them. He was known as the most important terrorist commander and logistics provider of Lashkar-e-Toiba in Srinagar. Subsequent investigation has revealed that Tanveer was involved in a series of terror attacks in Srinagar and played a key role in the murder of of MLC Javaid Shalla.

Afaq Ahmad Wani: Afaq was working as a Manager at Baramulla Central Cooperative Bank Limited.

Iftikhar Andrabi: Iftikhar was appointed as plantation supervisor.

Irshad Ahmad Khan: Irshad was appointed as an orderly in Jal Shakti Department in 2010.

Abdul Momin Peer: Abdul was appointed as an Assistant Lineman in PHE subdivision in 2014. (Agencies)
