JK Govt’s Back to Village Move a ‘Big Joke’, Nothing Happening on Ground: G.A Mir

Jammu Kashmir PCC chief Ghulam Ahmed Mir, on Monday alleged the JK government’s  much talked about “Back to Village program” as a big joke stating tall claims have been made by the government that remained confined to papers only while nothing happened on ground.

Mir announced a 45-day long program under the title—“Congress Chali Panchayat Ki Aur” under which meetings will be held in every panchayat and village across the UT. “Let me tell you that former J&K Governor Satya Pal Malik announced B2V-1 met people and perhaps took away the papers along with him to Goa. After him, the former LG JK, GC Murmu announced B2V-2, he did same what Malik did. Now recently, LG Manoj Sinha launched B2V-3 and meetings were  held in various parts of Kashmir and Jammu with tall claims of changing the map of villages and panchayats,” Mir told reporters at party office Srinagar as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

He said that Congress has the feedback from ground that nothing has happened in all three phases of B2V campaigns in the past three years.

“Claims of moving mountains have proved hollow. There is no outcome of B2-V campaigns,” he claimed. Mir said that Congress leaders will visit each panchayat under the program tiled—“Congress Chali Panchayat Ki Aur” to find out what actually has been done by the J&K Government.

“The campaign will last for 45 days under which there will be meetings in every village of J&K where at least 30 to 50 people would participate including Sarpanchs and Panchs,” he said. “At the end, we will submit a report of achievements if any, to present government.”— (KNO)
