JKLF chairman likely to be presented in court today in IAF officers killing case

The JKLF chairman Mohammed Yasin Malik is likely to be presented today in the special TADA court in Jammu in a case that dates back to 1990.

Four Indian Air Force officers were allegedly killed on 25 January 1990 in Srinagar by the militants of JKLF.

Earlier Malik pleaded to be physically present in the TADA court, which was opposed by the CBI which has filed the Chargesheet against Yasin Malik and five others.

In September, The ministry of home affairs on refused the movement of Yasin Malik to Jammu for appearing before the special TADA court and postponed the hearing to November after issuing another ‘production’ warrant against Yasin Malik.

On November 2, Yasin Malik was not produced physically to the court and the bench issues another production warrant was issued against Yasin Malik.

Yasin Malik, who is serving life imprisonment in Tihar Jail in a militancy funding case,. He was sentenced to life imprisonment twice.
