Reputed Bengaluru-based Kashmiri journalist Somnath Sapru (82) passed away at his residence at Bose Garden in Bengaluru on Friday.
A Kashmiri Pandit, Somnath pursued a career in journalism and specialised in Defence and Aviation. He was the Editor of ‘The Pioneer’ as well as ‘The Indian Express’.
The deceased was a lifetime member of the Bengaluru Press Club, but owing to the pandemic, Sapru did not visit the club for the last two years.
