The president of Reconciliation, Return and Rehabilitation of Migrants (RRRM), Satish Mahaldar while targetting the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ said that a lot of important things have been concealed in the film.
“The film does show the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, but several things have been concealed. The selective imagery created in the movie is questionable,” Satish said.
He said that when Kashmiri Pandits left the valley, the BJP-backed VP Singh government was at the center and the movie has selectively concealed the fact.
Criticizing the BJP government for not doing enough, he said that the Modi-led government has been in power for almost eight years but has not even initiated an inquiry into the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits.
He said that there are around 708 families of Kashmiri Pandits who never left the Kashmir valley.buy viagra capsules online https://www.mydentalplace.com/wp-content/themes/twentytwenty/inc/new/viagra-capsules.html no prescription “How are they living, what is the story of their life? None of this is shown in the movie,” Satish said.
He added, “The BJP had announced that they will settle down Kashmiri Pandits. But nothing has happened so far. Congress also made many promises. They did nothing special but at least they tried a little.”
“A special ‘Prime Minister’s Package’ for Kashmiri migrants was announced in 2006 during the Manmohan Singh government. Under this project, job arrangements were made for displaced pandits from Kashmir. Under this scheme, 6000 jobs have been announced for various departments including Kashmiri Pandit from 2007-to 2015,” he said.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Tikku, president of the Kashmiri Pandit Sangram Samiti, said that Kashmiri Pandits have been deliberately divided into two groups over the issue of migration.
“There is a lot of stress on those Pandits who left the valley, but, no one cares about those who have stayed,” Sanjay Tikku said.
“After the abrogation of Article 370, the Modi government had said that Kashmiri Pandits will finally return, but there were no signs of that. No action has been taken to bring back the scholars,” he said.
