Kashmir photojournalist, Sanna Irshad Mattoo has won a Pulitzer Prize along with three others from the Reuters team. The prizes were announced by Columbia University in the USA minutes ago.
Sanna, a resident of Srinagar will be sharing the award with deceased Reuters photojournalist Danish Sidiqi and Adnan Abidi, Amit Dev. The four have won the prize in feature photography.
Pertinently in 2021, Sanna who works with Reuters had become Magnum Foundation’s ‘Photography and Social Justice Fellows.
Her works were published in various international and national media publications.
