The Jammu Kashmir Police recovered a kidnapped girl in Kulgam and also arrested the accused person.
In a press release, the Police said that, Police Station Qaimoh on 17.06.2021 received a written complaint from a person stating that his daughter (name withheld) was kidnapped by one person namely Aijaz Ahmad Ganie S/O Mohd Jalil Ganie a resident of Goufbal Qaimoh.
Acting promptly a Case with FIR No. 50/2021 U/S 363 IPC was registered in Police Station Qaimoh and investigation was set into motion. On tip off a team headed by SHO Police Station Qaimoh Insp. Imtiyaz Ahmad under the supervision of SDPO Qazigund Shri. Govind Rattan-JKPS was constituted to rescue the kidnapped girl and to nab the Kidnapper.
Utilizing all available means and with strenuous efforts investigating team recovered the kidnapped girl from Yaripora within 24 hours after complaint was received at Police Station Qaimoh. After fulfilling the medico-legal formalities the recovered girl will be handed over to her legal heirs. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
General public especially the family members of the recovered girl applauded the strenuous efforts put forth by Kulgam police in rescuing their girl.
