Lightning kills 350 sheep, injures 2 bakarwals in Ganderbal

Injured admitted in hospital: SDPO Kangan

Around 350 sheep died and two bakarwals were injured after lightning hit Laman Wangath Naranaag area in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district during the intervening night of Tuesday, officials said.

Talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) SDPO Kangan Yasir Qadri said that the lightning hit the Laman Wangath Naranag area and left around 350 sheep dead and two bakarwals injured.

Soon after the incident, the police party was dispatched to the spot to assess the situation.

The two family members that were injured in the incident include M. Yaseen Bijran and Mumbai Ahmad Bijran from Kalakote Rajouri.

Qadri said that both the injured were brought to SDH Kangan for treatment—(KNO)
