In a chilling incident fourty people have been reported missing after a major cloudburst in the Kishtwar area of the Chenab valley.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that a cloud burst has occured in village Honjar Dacchan around 25KM away from District headquarter Kishtwar.
After the cloud burst fourty people were people were missing from their houses in the locality.
Immediately after the incident a rescue operation was launched to find the missing persons.
They said that six bodies recovered so far and 5 people were rescued in the morning.
Seven houses have completely washed away.
Among the deceased are 2 from Nomdic families and three locals.
The officials said that massive operations operations underway to rescue the rest of the trapped civilians.
