A massive landslide disrupted traffic movement on the 434 km long Srinagar-Leh highway since last evening.
A Traffic police official speaking to The Kashmiriyat that landslide occurred at India Gate Zojila along Sgr-Leh highway due to which the road remained blocked since yesterday 7 PM.
He said that the highway was completely blocked by the landslide, and as a result vehicles remained stranded on both sides of the road.
Officials said the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) immediately pressed into service, sophisticated machines and men to put through the traffic.
Dysp traffic Faheem Ali told The Kashmiriyat that traffic was suspended on Monday at around 6:50 Pm after massive Landslides hit Zojila Pass near India Gate.
Meanwhile dozens of Drivers stranded on the highway said that a large number of light motor vehicles and trucks have been stranded on the both sides of Zojila Pass due to the landslides.
